A newsletter on progress-space research and audience development for cultural leaders. One reader calls it, "sometimes funny"

What’s Thirsty Thursday?

It’s a weekly event for MAP Community Members — Kind of a happy hour event, but we do try to change it up every week by introducing some new facilitation practice or explore some new tech platform… In short, we do everything we can to ensure that it is not some dreadful Zoom happy hour where no one knows what to say. It’s a recurring challenge to find new ways for people to interact in meaningful ways.

This week, we’re going to try out a new platform called Hopin. I just signed up for Hopin, and I’m thinking we might use it for future events — like Writer Roundtables or Community Open Houses.

I thought I’d invite newsletter readers to join us, too.

If you’re interested, you can register here.

I know this is last minute, but it’s a free little meetup and there’ll be more in the future.

Hope to see you soon.

P.S. You’ll notice this message is brief, and I have not been sending many letters lately. I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon in early February — I’m hoping she’ll either be able to help me with my RSI issues or just amputate my right arm at the elbow.

Either way, there’s a chance that Dr. Wolstein will accept my invitation to become a guest author for this newsletter so she can fill you all in on the circumstances in the weeks to come. Stay tuned.
